Joint book review of Frigid (Frigid #1) by J. Lynn

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

Joint review:

Melody - First off I must begin be saying/admitting that I am a HARDCORE Jennifer Armentrout fan. I've read all of her books and loved them all.  She continuously improves with her writing and I'm so happy that she's always releasing new books.

Betsy - This book has it all!!! It has everything I love in a book: amazing characters, funny dialogue, suspenseful DRAMA, and lots of steamy sekz. What’s not to love about best friends who secretly have the hots for one another and then get stuck in a house for days!?

Melody - I immediately connected with the female protagonist Sydney.  She's shy, a control freak and a book worm that is secretly in love with her childhood best friend.  I also immediately connected with the male protagonist.  He was like a pop tart, hard on the outside and soft on the inside.

Betsy - Kyler and Sydney have the most amazing chemistry EVER! Their relationship is the cutest thing in the universe. As the story develops, you really feel their chemistry and their angst. The only thing that frustrated me was their lack of communication on the “I have feelings for you” plane. I understand why they didn’t want to cross that line, but still.

Melody - During the story we are introduced to plot twists that had me nervously flipping pages.

Betsy - Also, J. Lynn is the best at dual POV’s. It’s always so much fun reading from a male character’s POV- especially such a hoot like Kyler!

Melody - I definitely recommend this book to anyone that likes the new adult genre and anyone who hasn't read a book by Jennifer Armentrout, please do yourself the favor to do so!

Betsy - What she said! :-p
